10. Excalibur Hotel & Casino (Las Vegas, USA)
Boasting 4,008 rooms/suites spread over 28 floors and 2 towers, the Excalibur, part of the MGM Resorts group was completed in 1990, costing $290 million to build. The casino stretches out of 100,000 square ft, with the hotel also offering meeting and convention space alongside a selection of restaurants and shops.
9. Ambassador City Jomtien (Jomtien Bay/Thailand)
Based at Jomtien Bay, about 8k south of Pattaya in Thailand, The Ambassador City is an extensive resort, offering 4,210 rooms and suites. Spread over a 40 acre campus, offering guests views of the beach and mountains, the hotel also offers a convention centre, 8 restaurants, several bars and nightclubs alongside and a sports/fitness facility that claims to have Asia’s largest swimming pool.

THEhotel at Mandalay Bay was completed in 2003, situated in Paradise, within the Mandalay Bay complex. After a refurbishment in 2014, the hotel was rebranded as Delano. With 42 floors, there are 1,117 luxury suites, deluxe suites, 2 floors of Penthouse suites and the all important Presidential suite. ‘MiX’ the Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse restaurant is situated at the top of the hotel.

Opened in October 1993, the hotel cost MGM Resorts $375 million to build and features 4,407 hotel rooms, with a vast casino spread over more more than 120,000 square ft – even featuring a Wedding Chapel! The Luxor also shares the shops at Mandalay Place mall through a sky bridge with the Mandalay Bay. Luxor’s twin towers are 22 stories high and feature 4 swimming pools and whirlpools to relax in when a break from the tables and slots is required!

The Wynn opened in 2005 and the Encore, opened in 2008. The Wynn has an 111,000 sq.ft. casino, convention centre and 76,000 sq. ft. of retail space… that is quite a lot of shops and with 45 floors, is 614 foot high. Its sister hotel, the Encore has 2,034 rooms and is spread over 74,000 sq.ft.

With 5,000 rooms, The Izmailovo Hotel was completed in 1979 and held the title of the World’s Largest Hotel until 1993 when the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas expanded. Built for the 1980 Summer Olympics, the hotel is based over 4 different buildings.

The 4th largest hotel in the World, with 5,524 rooms, spread over 30 buildings, comprising of 3 floors each. The All Star resorts are connected via bus transfer and are located with the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
3. First World Hotel (Genting Highlands, Malaysia)
With 6,118 rooms, the First World Hotel, is the 3rd largest in the World, alongside a staggering 11 official restaurants! Definitely plenty of choice when it comes to dining in the hotel. The hotel consists of Tower 1 and Tower 2, with 1,669 standard rooms, 3,307 deluxe rooms, 69 deluxe triple rooms, 493 superior deluxe rooms and 136 world club rooms.

The World’s largest hotel from 1993-2006, having originally opened in December 1993, the MGM Grand complex comprises of 30 floors in the main hotel, the Signature building with suites, Skylofts and The Mansion. All in all, 6, 852 rooms, making it easier for visitors to Las Vegas to find a room suitable for the duration of their stay.

Originally opened in May 1999, The Venetian contains 36 stories and is 475 feet high, the hotel was renovated in 2003, The Palazzo opened in 2008.
